What are Legacy Plates? +

Legacy Plates are high-visibility magnetic car plates designed to help identify senior drivers on the road, encouraging awareness, patience, and safer driving for everyone.

Are they required by law? +

No — Legacy Plates are completely optional. They are designed to provide added awareness and peace of mind, not to replace any official licensing requirements.

How do I attach the plate? +

Our plates are magnetic only. Simply place the plate onto a clean, flat metal surface on your vehicle for secure and visible display.

Will it damage my car? +

No — when used correctly on a clean surface, the magnetic plate is designed to be paint-safe and removable. We recommend wiping both the vehicle surface and the magnet before application.

Can it be removed easily? +

Yes — Legacy Plates can be removed at any time, making them convenient for everyday use or shared vehicles.

Where should I place it? +

For best visibility, place your Legacy Plate on a flat metal surface at the rear of the vehicle, such as the bonnet or boot. Avoid curved, non-metallic, or obstructed areas.

Is it weather-resistant? +

Yes — Legacy Plates are designed to handle normal outdoor driving conditions, including sun, rain, and daily road use.

Product Use

Legacy Plates are designed as driver awareness indicators to help improve visibility and understanding on the road. They are not legally required signage and do not replace any government-issued plates or road rules.

Obstruction, Windscreen & Numberplate Compliance

Legacy Plates must not be attached to the windscreen, placed in a position that obstructs the driver’s view, or used in any way that interferes with the safe operation of the vehicle. Our products must not cover, obscure, or interfere with any registration numberplate, light, indicator, camera, sensor, or other legally required vehicle feature. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the product is fitted and used lawfully at all times.

Magnetic Plate Application

Our plates are magnetic and intended for use on metal vehicle surfaces only. Customers must ensure the surface is clean and dry before application and that the plate is securely attached before driving. Legacy Plates is not responsible for loss or damage caused by incorrect application.

Road Safety Disclaimer

Legacy Plates products are intended to promote awareness, patience, and safer driving interactions. However, we do not guarantee changes in driver behaviour or road conditions. Use of our product is entirely at the driver’s discretion.

Wear & Care

Remove and clean the plate regularly. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions. Do not bend or fold the magnetic backing. Normal wear and tear over time is expected.

Returns & Exchanges

We offer returns or exchanges for faulty or damaged items, or incorrect items received. Requests must be made within 7 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in original condition.

Shipping

Delivery timeframes are estimates only. Legacy Plates is not liable for delays caused by third-party carriers.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Legacy Plates is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, vehicle damage related to improper use, or loss of product while in use.
